PENWITH WOODLAND BURIAL PLACE was created in 2000. This was partly as a result of the many times people had expressed a wish that they could be laid to rest at Rose Farm. Rose Farm is a beautiful place, adjacent to the Pets’ Memorial Gardens, established in 1988. The concept of the woodland burial place is simple, when you die (which we all will someday) you are buried in a beautiful, peaceful, country setting, and from your death, you create life in the form of a tree. |
This, in turn, helps the environment and provides habitat for birds and many species of wild life. The full circle of life.
To me, you cannot get more spiritual than that. Rose Farm has been a farm since Iron Age times. Here there are pedigree cattle, horses , pigs, sheep ,ducks, geese, and hens.
These are happy animals and create a feeling
that the place is all about life, as well as death, in nature,
as has always been since time began.
At Penwith Woodland Burial Place you can (if you so wish) be
buried with or alongside your beloved pets which is not
permitted in traditional cemeteries.
When I die, I will be buried between my late husband John and my favourite horse Sam, and beside other family pets already buried there and under a horse chestnut tree.... perfect! Penny Lally
